Ourmaninstockholm is Philip O’Connor, a 40-year-old Irish writer, journalist, producer and communications professional based in – surprisingly enough- Stockholm, Sweden.
His first book “A Parish Far From Home” tells the tale of how Gaelic football brought the Irish in Stockholm together and has been nominated as Sports Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards.
When not writing here, he covers sports for a major global news agency and edits “Totally Stockholm”, as well as making films and helping companies and organisations with their corporate communications.
The blog was originally started with the intention of providing a different angle on Irish political communication, but has over time expanded to cover virtually everything to do with Ireland and Sweden, from sport and culture to politics and current affairs.
